Microsoft Kin, The first smartphones based on Nvidia’s low-power Tegra chips will soon be there, in the look of the new Kin devices announced by Microsoft earlier on Monday.

Two phones, Microsoft Kin One and Microsoft Kin Two, will launch in May on Verizon Wireless. The phones, both sliders, are built off the Windows Phone 7 platform but include been designed with a new user interface built specifically for status updates, sharing pictures and videos, local search and music.

The first Tegra chips were announced close to two years ago and have found their style into portable media players including Microsoft’s Zune HD and Samsung’s M1. They haven’t however appeared in smartphones, yet, but that will renovate next month when Microsoft’s Kin devices look.

The Kin Individual and the Kin Two, launched by Microsoft in San Francisco Monday morning, are touch-screen phones aimed at younger community who want quick access to social-networking services similar Facebook and Twitter. The Kin One includes a 5-megapixel camera and the Kin Two an 8-megapixel camera.
